As you can see, I am posted to the 6th Singapore Infantry Regiment (6 SIR).
I can't say much about my unit for the fear that I may leak out sensitive information.
But if you wanna know more, here's what I found on http://www.mindef.gov.sg/imindef/mindef_websites/atozlistings/army/ourforces/2PDF/Brigades_Battalions_2PDF.html
6 Singapore Infantry Regiment
The only 24/7 deployed force, 6 SIR is a unit renowned for its courageous, strong and dedicated soldiers, ideally personified by the Spartans, the characters chosen to represent the unit. The Spartans was founded on 2 Apr 1968 and was based in Taman Jurong Camp and served under the command of 3 DIV and in the process building their reputation as tough and effective soldiers. In Jan 1995,6 SIR was placed under the command of HQ 10 SIB as part of 9 Division and the unit shifted to Selarang Camp. On 12 Jul 2004, the unit was transferred to the command of HQ 2 PDF and relocated to Maju Camp two months later. In Nov 2006, the unit officially turned operational, thus becoming the only Active Protection of Installation (POI) battalion in the army.
Bearing the motto of “Tough and Effective”, the Spartans strive to bring honour to the battalion. The unit is operationally ready and deployed 24/7. Indeed, it is well poised to rise up to all challenges.
So you can guess how my training goes.
Anyways, 624 days left to ORD.
一天过一天吧! >.<

19 years old
It's my birthday today.
Rotted at home.
But anyways, in the order of timings of birthday wishes sent, I would like to thank Sheena-na gang, Shujia, Fiona, Jasper, Nick, Kuei Hsien, Kai Bin, Clarence, Hong Yao, Gwen, Naomi, Yvonne, Jason, Novi, Audrey, Zi En, Tsu Yin, Weilie, Hong Siang, Adelene, Teck Kian, and of course my family.
Hope I did not leave out any names.
Yup, that's all.
Nothing else to blog about since nothing fruitful was done today.
One of my worst birthdays? Up to optimism and pessimism to judge.

Why why why?!
Noooooooooooooo....
Why my desired course in NUS, "Food Science & Technology", requires good 'A' level passes or equivalent in Biology, Chemistry and one other science subject including Mathematics.
Why?
Why?
Why?
I got absolutely no biology background! Thus I can't take this course.
I thought that I can take bridging module on Biology, but here's what I found on the NUS website.
Q: I do not have Biology in 'O' level, can I apply?
No, it is extremely difficult as the course requires good basic knowledge in Biology .
Ahhhhhh!!!!!
I want food!
I want food!
I want food!
I want food!
I want food!
I want food!
I want food!
I want food!
=(

PTE Marvin Wong
P.O.P. loh, I am now no longer a chao recruit.
I am now PTE Marvin Wong. =)
Yup. Sheenana celebrated my early birthday on Wednesday.
Thanks guys!
Actually in the beginning when they started singing the birthday songs, I thought they were singing for one of them, but it was actually for me! Whahaha.
Yea, and helped Sharon on Chemistry and some Physics on Thursday in NYJC.
My knowledge about Chemistry is a bit rusted, so while helping her, I also de-rusted my Chemistry knowledge.
And for today, Friday, went to Causeway Point to repair my Samsung U700.
It will be ready in a week's time.
Now, I wanna buy a PSP, and also a pair of Vans shoes.
See how first, I have block leave till 24th March, so I am damn free.
Did you realised that everything above seems quite summarized?
It's because I am having fever again and can't concentrate as well.
Sick shit.

A Levels
Got back our A Levels results.
My results are slightly below my expectations.
But ok la, hope I can enter the course that I wanted.
NTU's Hons in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry seems to be attracting me.
But I will wait till I go to NUS's open house before confirming the course that I will be taking after I ORD (which is in about 1 year 9 months.)
My passing out parade's on this coming Wednesday!
Hope my parents could film it down and I can post it here.

Stars by switchfoot
This song is really motivating, and I changed my blog song to this. Here's the lyrics (in italics). Hope you guys can do some reflections while reading the lyrics. (Actually, all the blog songs that I put have some meanings in them, so try to decipher them yourselves about what am I actually thinking about.)
Maybe I've been the problem
Maybe I'm the one to blame
But even when I turn it off and blame myself
The outcome feels the same
I've been thinking maybe I've been partly cloudy
Maybe I'm the chance of rain
And maybe I'm overcast
And maybe all my luck's washed down the drain
I've been thinking 'bout everyone
Everyone, you look so lonely
But when I look at the stars
When I look at the stars
When I look at the stars
I see someone else
When I look at the stars, the stars
I feel like myself
Stars looking at a planet watching entropy and pain
And maybe start to wonder how
The chaos in our lives could pass as sane
I've been thinking of the meaning of resistance
Of a world beyond my own
And suddenly the infinite and penitent
Began to look like home
I've been thinking 'bout everyone
everyone, you look so empty
But when I look at the stars
When I look at the stars
When I look at the stars
I see someone else
When I look at the stars, the stars
I feel like myself
Everyone everyone you feel so lonely
Everyone, yeah, everyone you feel so empty
When I look at the stars
When I look at the stars
When I look at the stars
I feel like myself
when I look at the stars, the stars
I see someone...

Finally I made it
For the first time in 155879254668736434363676 years, I finally passed my 2.4km run!
I never passed my run before, not even in primary nor secondary school.
I had my IPPT on last Monday. Here's my results:
2.4km Run: 12.07 mins
Chin-up: 12 times
Shuttle Run: 9.9 secs
Sit-ups: 41 times
Standing Broad Jump: 216cm
So overall, I passed my IPPT and now, I can say that I passed my BMT.
Now, I am awaiting for my 24km route march and passing out parade!
Hmm, there seems to be quite a number of good movies popping out lately.
Who wanna watch movies with me? (Weekends of course)
