I went to Orchard's Kinokuniya and Bras Brasah's Popular today to compare prices of these books:
Chemistry & Chemical Reactivity 7th Edition by Kotz, Treichel, Townsend (Kinokuniya: $79.07, Popular: $69.55)
Organic Chemistry 7th Edition by John McMurry (Kinokuniya: $58.32, Popular: $71.58)
Biochemistry 5th Edition by Campbell Farrell (Kinokuniya: $74.79, Popular: $74.79)
Comparing prices, assuming I go to Kinokuniya to buy Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry books and go to Popular to buy Chemistry & Chemical Reactivity book, which the prices overall are the lowest, I would spend exactly $202.66!!! For 3 books!

Let's treat this as an investment for my future.
Yes, I will be buying those books after this dreaded deployment at Jurong Island.
